Early in 2018, Frederick city announced it had been awarded $270,000 from the Maryland Department of the Environment to defray some of the cost of rebuilding the Rock Creek’s channel in order to curtail excessive erosion of its banks. The city agreed to match $180,000 of the grant with its own money. Here are links regarding this significant project.
